  1. One thing I forgot to make note of in the survey, that there should be a defined system to “status” model component, visually and text wise within a field, relative to hard coded spots along a work process timeline. such as model parts,and the drawings generated by those parts that could be in checking, design freeze, issued for____.

  2. Just to add, Present CAD tools does not allow easy integration of graphics such as product artworks and labels. Seamless integration of such part is preferred.

    • I think you make a valid point. though, depending on ones definition of “cad tools”, I did see where solid works has the ability to capture views from a model for insertion into an “artsy” type of illustration, or brochure, etc. I liked that the data supporting the graphic components is readily available also and can be inserted to provide naming conventions for required text for labels, stats, titles
