Arvind Krishnan is the Vice President of Research for Product Innovation Practices for the research firm Tech-Clarity. Over the last 25 years, Arvind has worked in various roles in product management, product strategy, engineering, technical marketing, business strategy, and entrepreneurship. As an entrepreneur, Arvind ran his own engineering and management consulting firm in water management, bioenergy, and sustainability. Beginning in 2020, Arvind has been an industry analyst covering diverse topics such as product innovation, physics-based simulation, software solutions for engineering, and product development.
Arvind began his career as a Product Manager at Dassault Systemes, where he was instrumental in driving the tight integration between CAD and simulation for the mainstream market involving the SOLIDWORKS product line. While at Dassault Systemes, he understood the importance of accurately capturing market needs using research and influencing product and marketing strategies to drive success. As a business owner, he continued to deliver value by understanding and meeting customer needs. Arvind’s current areas of research interest include studying product innovation in manufacturing, the challenges in digital transformation, the growth drivers of financial performance for manufacturing companies, and how companies unlock value from embracing digital technologies (such as PLM, CAD, simulation, digital manufacturing solutions) and sustainable practices. Arvind has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad.
Arvind is an avid marathon runner and a lifelong learner. Other than engineering and technology, Arvind is interested in economics and finance. When he is not working, he loves to travel and learn about different cultures.
